Nilooka Dissanayake

ACMA, MBA (Strathclyde, Glasgow)

I am a learner. And I am a great trainer who is equally comfortable in SINHALA and English. I make learning fun for everyone. In fact, learning to learn is my greatest skill.

Here’s my motto:

“In times of change, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”~Eric Hoffer

If you want a trainer who pays attention to your particular needs, who does not merely come with a set of slides and deliver a speech, but really designs the training session to suit your needs and talks to the hearts of the participants, motivating them to dream, learn and grow, you have found the right trainer in me.

Starting as a Science student (for A/Ls), I have come far, becoming a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), working at Burah Hathy & Company (now BDO Burah Hathy) and Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC),  getting an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, running the family business, becoming a business editor and journalist in two languages. I became a trainer after doing all that, and therefore, bring a wide range of experience, expertise and valuable perspectives into my training efforts.

Currently I work as a ghostwriter and as a trainer. You can find out more about my experience and my projects in my LinkedIn profile.

In the past three and half years, since the birth of my son (and the global financial crisis), I’ve only been conducting training sessions on invitation. But now I feel its time to get back to training in a big way. I love training and I enjoy tailoring special sessions to suit needs of specific organizations and groups.
