Stress: Don’t Let it Overpower You


Mimosa pudika plant, Nidikumba in Sinhala, shrivels upon touch. Its known as the Sensitive Plant. But it recovers, again and again, as the YouTube video in the link (from NikTheCat) shows. You should not let stress overpower you like this. And you can recover too, even if it does. But its always better not to go there. Avoiding the worst is always a good strategy.

The idea for this post came to me while I was compiling a post about stress responses for the Mindculture’s Blog. See: When someone is upset, your initial response matters.

As someone said the other day, what really stops us from succeeding is not the lack of talents or strengths, but out weaknesses. We are all as strong as our weakest quality. And stress can be a mighty force if you let it overcome.
